How to create a life plan for empowered living

Our life is like an unguided ship at birth. Some people meander through life letting it take its own course while others like to take the reins in their own hands. They realize that life is short, finite and laced with difficulties. They set their priorities right and are clear about what all they want to accomplish before dying.
On their death bed, they want to have lived their life plan and have the satisfaction of having lived a full life.Hence one must take concrete steps to plan for desired outcomes which is done by creating a life plan

The following are the steps to creating and living a life plan:

Enlist the key people /missions in your life  in your life
  • Spouse
  • Children
  • Colleagues
  • Parents
  • Building a business
  • Leaving a legacy

These can be some of the things important to an individual.

When it comes to children, one might want to be remembered as a good parent who helped them learn values, set goals and stood by them in terms of all emotional turmoil.

As a business, one might want to have an empathetic approach towards employee needs and create a friendly working environment .

It is good to list down priorities. These can be possible priorities
  • Health
  • Financial success
  • Time with family
  • Business success
  • Travel and new experiences
  • Emotional betterment
  • Happiness

Let us consider writing an action plan for financial success.

It has three components

1.Envisioned success.
Enlist what it includes be it that villa overlooking the sea, a healthy bank balance, retirement savings, increased disposable income, a new car, being debt free enough for kids college tuition and so on.
2.Access current situation:
Make a list of all you would need to do to get there-be it getting that promotion or new higher paying job, saving monthly, investing in mutual funds or other instruments, working over weekends, scaling back unnecessary  expenses.
3.Make specific commitment
For example, the commitments can include getting a 100K+ paying job in 2 months, starting to invest in 2 stocks a month, opening a mutual fund account in a week.
Stick by these commitments

Replicate for all heads of priorities which have been mentioned above in a similar fashion. This way you can create a life plan to lead a rich and empowered life.

How to overcome fear of engulfment in relationships

Fear of engulfment is the fear of getting controlled by partner or losing yourself in the relationship. It is a very strong fear of being swallowed by the partner and makes one run for the hills. The individual with this fear hence completely avoids relationships sometimes or is unable to sustain them and runs each time things begin to heat up. This fear is actually a fear of rejection .Due to this fear the individual gives too much in the early phases of the relationship so that they can please their partner and to ensure their partner likes them. They take responsibility for their partners feelings and want to make sure the partner stays happy and does not reject them. But this too much giving from the fear of rejection makes them feel trapped. The solution to this is to develop stronger boundaries, not take rejection personally and religiously practice inner bonding to develop a very strong sense of adult self. Let us see examples in of a person named Raymond who is 44

Hello everybody, This is my first post today and I thought i'd start with a super-common yet extremely important topic-an asshole /insecure boss . We spend a large part of our lives at the workplace and are often plagued with horrible managers. Also, it is extremely unfortunate that we do not choose our managers but they are assigned to us. A good manager can lead to motivation, growth, skill improvement and promotions while a bad one can create unhappiness, tears, emotional pain, anger and frustration. Lets first delve into the characterstics of an insecure manager: Micromanages Does not trust you Does not stand up for employees in front of clients Is overtly critical Requires updates every 5 minutes Cannot appreciate good work Feels threatened by employees who are better than him Creates and fuels team politics Plays favorites Openly insults employees Uses control as a means to feel secure Creates artificial sense of urgency Is never at peace The most im
