Flow versus resist

Life is a flowing river. We believe we are on a boat and are steering it in the river, but the truth is that the river is taking the boat where it wills. Our ego does not permit us to acknowledge this and we resist the flow.He harder the resistance, the greater is the blow to the boat.If we have prolonged resistance, the boat gets damaged and water begins to enter into it. It is hence a good idea to not resist the flow of life. One must accept the situation one is in and then take action to change it if one does not like it.By doing so, one has surrendered to "what is" and is not fighting from a place of resistance anymore. This eases the flow and makes it easier to navigate the path.

Tips to deal with an egoistical boss

“When you wrestle with a pig in the mud, you get dirt over yourself!” This is a well known adage and holds true when dealing with an egoistical boss .The boss in question has a habit of being always right, ruling with an iron whip nothing short of being a dictator. He is not open to suggestions and gives incredibly harsh feedback. Further, he openly puts down subordinates in front of the management and pouts when he does not get his own way.He is nothing short of a grown man-child . The way out is to realize that not giving into the games he plays and standing firm in who you are can unsettle him .So allow him to bark all he wants-you focus on doing a good job .
